On the cool hills above the Orb valley, a nice morning breeze dries the dew drops on the pebbles. On the sandy Languedoc soil, some foot prints left from last night harvest, in order to pick up cool fruits, are now replaced by the dawn peacefulness The first sun rays covers the vineyard and turn a vine leaf into a precious and shiny mirror. Then, a delicate and colourful figure lands gracefully on that leaf and flies off again, free and innocent, between shade and sunshine. Parpalhòl, butterfly in Occitan language, in his natural habitat, reminds us all that truth and blossoming lies in the nature and its fragility. It also symbolises our story. 2 friends born with the same passion for wine that decided to craft excellence in their cuvées born in the wild and natural Languedoc terroir.
Parpalhòl (meaning butterfly in Occitan language) with his careless and innocent way of life, reminds us that blossoming comes from nature and its symbiosis and is the true reason for taking this project 5 years ago. 2 friends, a winemaker and a master sommelier that decide together to create passionate, tasty and unique wines from the wild and wonderful Languedoc terroir.
“If I was asked one day what was the most precious gift of Mother Earth, no doubt I’d say the vine”
- Caton
A preserved terroir
Our friendship takes its roots in the respect of our preserved environment and surroundings. Convinced that you learn from your terroir over the years by understanding its rhythm, its rules and respecting his value, our duty is in enhancing his treasures.
Always in search for the perfect osmosis between the terroir and the winemaker’s work, our butterfly wings luckily took us to Sophie Brun, our talented and wonderful wine consultant in aim of excellence.
